Just had a look at the url above. Is the Akrapovic exhaust on the ZX-14 in the photo a real product or just a mock-up? Do you have any details please.

Nah... They already scrapped the Stratosphere for lack of torque .Most folks in THIS market prefer GRUNT, otherwise we'd all be buzzin' around on a ZX6rr .

I agree especially when there are so many busa owners in denial about the zx14 and the busa is still selling like hotcakes. They may change the busa in 08 I really dont think that its gonna happen anytime soon

Reality is that the 14's that have been ridden (professionally ridden) are still just a gnats ass quicker - it's still so close that the rider is going to be the difference.

I'm thinkin Suzuki will show their hand here in a coupla months after they've scrutinized the 14 which also leads me to beleive that the first model year 14's may be slightly detuned in order to retake their current time in the limelight after the new Bus comes out.

Yup,

Wonder if Kawi will have a recall for ignition timing, 48 mm throttle bodies, higher compression pistons ? To redeem themselves...................NOT

Like I'll wait for them anyway!

look at it like this....
Better bike a year earlier than waiting for nuw Haya-ugly.
Warming over the 14 will cost less than trading up... so its all OK!

Yup - buy the 14 now, let Suzi do whatever they want for a year or two, then add a full system, PC, and K&N to match them. No big deal... *and* you got your cool bike a year or two before the Suzi fans did.

....so it would seem alot of potential ZX-14 buyers are looking at straightway performance...1/4 mile, 75mph roll-ons, or ultimate top speed runs...it seems no-one cares about the cornering performance of this bike...I mean, how much hp/tq does a rider need on the street or track when they're turning and burning this powerful stock bike?....seems the stock hp/tq of this bike is more than enough when turning and burning....you're not going to need/use a whole lot of it....seems all that additional hp/tq from mods would be useless during those parts of the ride....useful maybe (depending on rider weight+bike gross weight) during those straight up roll-ons and top-speed runs....

...I've said it before and I'll say it again....any additional hp/tq is probably only good for out 'brag racin' yer' opponent when you're bs'ing and admiring your bitchin'ness and unless you're really going to use it often on the straights....then I hope its on a 1/4-mile or Bonneville or Maxton....y'know....to keep your license intact and your insurance down

...if Suzuki was smart, they'd bump their motor to 1400cc, lighten up the bike, and give it better asthetics....then future big-bore street bike wars from the big four mgfs should consist of better handling, comfort, options, and asthetics....I mean, how much power hp/tq does the buyuer really need on the street....these beasts have more than most of us could use....better handling and comfort and servicabilty should be a top priority, imho...

That's because Wormy, you and I live in Californy with hwy 74 close by, imagine most of the rest of the US where the only turn you make is into your driveway.

First of all, the more horsepower, the better. how about putting all of that hp and tq, mix it in with a big bowl of handling, styling, and paint and make one hell of a nike. And to that bullshit, I mean busa. That's a bunch of bullshit. I mean are they really going to disgrace theirselves by actually having to put a six ylinder engine into a bike to make it match the 14. They also have pride to think about..
