Rob Muzzy. How's the turbo developing?

Rob.
Three questions!
1 How much longer?
2 How much money?
3 How much power?

Debating turbo or Nitrous!
Don't really want to buy an exhaust , just to peel it off , when the turbo goes on!

When the stock level of power on the 14 gets totally boring, I'll look maybe at an exhaust. I mean how long can a bike that will do almost 150 mph in a quarter mile stay exciting? I'm sure 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds will seem pretty lame in a few weeks of ownership...............

I am glad people like Rob Muzzy are around , reducing the level of mediocrity.
I am sure most will be satisfied with it stock, but thats never been my thing.

Performance and HP allways will be.

I'll probably turbo it eventually, for the same reasons I built my own CR500AF, built to the hilt, ........to much to list!
Heck my DIRT BIKE is geared for over 100 MPH, and at 230 lbs and 72 RWHP, has a power to (dry)weight ratio of 3.3 lbs / RWHP.
( in the dirt , whoops, sand between the tree's!)
The ZX14 is 3.23 lbs/ RWHP.
I'm quite confident the performance of the ZX 14 will be exhilarating, but not much of a surprise for me.

Bikes and HP is my life!
My ride is not a status symbol. The only one it needs to impress is me!

Smokin it absolutely makes sense for Rob to develop turbocharger kits for the ZX14. Just becuase you dont want one now, doesn't mean someone else doesn't want one..

No official drag racing on my resume of 28 years riding experience.

Unless you consider motocross drag racing! (from corner to corner for 45 min straight!).

No official drag tracks for hundreds of miles away!

Adrenaline is the BEST drug!

Just sold my 250 HP nitrous injected zx12r.
Still riding my dirtbike at ridiculous speeds, up to 90 MPH in the forrest.

I think 300HP will suit my desires and abilities just fine.
No I don't drag , don't have the facilities in the region.

This post to Rob was about the turbo, and new developments for our bike

Sweet Jezus. 650 HP? Man. I love Muzzy - Rob's products are top notch (got a full exhuast on my 2000 '12 with the full clutch and basket - SOOO nice). I can't even imagine a bike with that much power - but somehow, I bet I'll get the 14 and put the turbo on it in a year or so. lord help me.

Same here...just why I asked. It's annoying to see built turbo bikes stuck in the 10s because of the rider. Gotta work your way up slow with smaller and stock bikes.

It's funny you know.
Most motorcyclists it would seem are doing it because they can.
The freedom of expression , the thrill.
Most have a dissention towards the treehuggers, and environmentalists, or anyone else who attempts to impose on our rights, and freedoms.
Most I image wish to live their lives as they wish, not as others see fit.

Soooo.
Why ?
Why do I get the feeling some of the guys around here feel the need to imose their opinions on other fellow cyclists ?
Pass judgement without KNOWLEDGE.
Denounce any opinion not of their own?

If you are happy with your bike , thats all that really matters, and likewise for me.

I will do what i wish, and I hope you will too.

If I want 300 HP..... who gives a fuck.
If you don't, who gives a fuck.
If 650 HP is unridable except for a handful of people, then good for the handful.

I think it's good that people are out there developing the sport, and the machinery,
otherwise we would all be riding steam powered bikes.

The post heading was "Rob Muzzy. How's the turbo developing?"
Not ...."hey everyone.... impede on my rights and impose your opinions"

Get out of the rut, and open your mind.

Never said i didn't want one !!!!! I for one am damn glad Muzzy is making one and i hope he sells a ton of them ...We need Rob Muzzy on are side now and forever.....If your a good rider and can handle 650 hp hell go for it....I really want to see what i can get out of the zx14 before i add power ...I add power items one at a time to see what the real gains are only after i get the most out of what i have to start with ...Any good racer would do the same ....It's called test and tune and you can ask Rob about that, he knows what i'm talking about because he has been doing to for years ....

Well this did get a little off track , but that what the treads and the web site is about ... Rob answered the queston and that should be the end of the tread ? If you think we should stay right on the money on every tread then lock the tread right after Robs post ...I for one want to read what people feel about there zx14 and what mods they will be looking to do ....

Jeez this blew up over nothing. I am NOT passing judgement on any of you that are going to turbo your 14s. If you want to, go right ahead...I'm not going to try and talk you out of it. I'll be the first to say "holy crap, your bike kicks ass!" when you post pics of your turbo 14.

My point is this: it's easier to learn how to drag race on a stock bike first. It's safer, and you will go faster with the turbo if you're already running decent times on the stock motor zx14. I would hate to see any of you turbo your bike and cartwheel it down the street. It's comparable to the way of thinking that new riders should not learn to ride on a Hayabusa or ZX10R. I'm sure other drag racers will agree with me.
