I know, I know, that wasn't very nice of me... but you can laugh at me in early August when it's 110F here in Texas and only 80F up there!!!

Ive been working 64 hrs overtime, or 144 Hrs every 2 weeks all winter, and most
likely will untill July.
When the bike shows up, and the weather cooperates I'll likely only have time to ride it to work before July.

Ohh well. The snow therefor don't mean much to me $$$$.

75F = 24C (approximately)

The best word for 75F with about 30% humidity is "pleasant". You still want a light jacket while riding, but you don't get warm when you stop for a break.

Full gear always - just have to ride faaast in summer!
When I stop for a longer pause I'll take the jacket off (along with the helmet, gloves,..)
I have had enough of my share with road/street pavement when I was a kid

We didn't get a law of mandatory helmet usage until 1977 (mopeds 1982)
but I had already switched to cars back then
My mum would not let me buy a bike of my own
I shared three-ways some mopeds, bikes and a car, too!
Then my father bought a car (for himslef) and I was on cars thereafter
Naturally I tried all sorts of vehichles along the years
but it wasn't until spring 2005 that I started riding regularly again - with Nina
SHE owns the bike!

After a virtually snowless winter in the 'great white north' (Edmonton) we have had 35 cm over the last week. Not unusual really, we have had snow as late as mid-May some years!

Mid April is usually about as early as you can get your bike on the road here. I like the street sweepers to get most of the sand and gravel off the roads as well first.

Mid April last year, but just above the freezing point and heated grips were a must
Mid November was exceptionally "warm": tehre was no snow -
the season usually ends at September (and starts at May 5-6 months in Finland, brrrr)

Kacksucker!! , Ok 80 (and sometimes past 100) hours a week at work cuts into my riding time a bit sometimes , that was the primary reason for buying the KLR - so I could ride to the job ....

The forecast? Rain turning to sleet, then 8" of snow.
I can wait for my 14 till April no problem.
