Demo'd the ZX14r Today!!!

Demo'd the ZX14r over at BikeWeek today. All I can say, it's awesome! We were in the first group (all 14r's) at 9:00am. The Kawi demo leader gives us this big long speel about whats not acceptable: wheelies, stoppies no hard acceleration and ect... So I'm thinking wow is this going to be fun... ya right. Well we get to some of the back roads behind the speedway, nice corners and a couple of short straights and this guy (the demo leader) starts opening it up. I'm like ya!!! Once I hit 110mph. Let me tell this bike is fast! It's every bit as fast and them some as my fully modded 05 ZX12r(178rwh) and one hellva lot more comfortable and smoother. The handling is very neutal, light and planted for a bike that size. Needless to say when we got back I had to shake that guys hand(demo leader) and thank him for the excellent ride. They also handed out free Kawasaki ZX14r fitted ball caps(not the cheapy caps) to everyone on the ride as soon as we got back. All in all it was an awesome day!

How does the ZX-14 handle in the curves compared to your ZX-12R?

Did it feel like it'd wheelie pretty easily??? I've read that you have to make a conscious effort to loft the front wheel.

Did you really get to flaunt the handling potential of the bike on a Demo ride? I am the most skeptical about how the thing will handle.

Glad to hear you liked the ride. So far, everyone that's been on one loves it and compliments it's power and handling. I can't wait... :d

Decent cap for free. I was totally impressed with the handling of the 14. I also have an 06 ZX10r as you can see in the background. While not as fleckable as the 10r it felt a lot lighter in the corners and holds it's line far better than the ZX12r or the Busa, I've had both. I know it's not a small bike but the weight seems to disappear once underway. I'm still not crazy about it's looks but overall I'm highly impressed with it. Kawasaki is definetly gotten alot better on they're bikes the last couple of years.

Ya, I know. Me and my other two buds were in a hurry to get over there and I forgot my digital camera. We're going back over on Wed. I'll get plenty of pics then.
