Btw, the article says Rob Muzzy runs Kawasaki's drag racing team. Of course that was correct once, but I wasn't aware it was the case presently? If so that's good news!

There is no offical Kawasaki Drag Racing Team, that I have heard of. but I believe that Rob is working with Kawasaki and will field a couple of kawasaki bikes... but then again Rob has almost always worked with Kawasaki....
MM
and P.S. Alex from MD..... did an excellent job!!! he ran a 9.99....not bad for a kid who has only drag raced a bike this being his third time ever....

fish, you missed your chance with the 14. You should have been hitting about 170, flick the bars, send a load in the frame, let it wind up, and release it through the upper case. That flick should have put a wrinkle in the cylinders, and tweak them out of round. The pistons start scoring on the sides, it begins smoking down the straights like a freight train full of frames and upper cases heading toward the dealer network. You bring it in, come to a stop, pitch on the side of the wall, and say, "Here, fix it."

that "wall" comes up awful fast at 155mph... there is no "straight" .. you're turning the whole time ... sorry but I just couldnt pull the trigger and pin it driving into a concrete wall... same went for lots of other people... only a few got it any higher... I think the highest indicated was 180mph and that guy was nuts... everyone agreed.
lots of tires that have brand new tread on the right side still left over though ____________ What business is it of yours where I'm from, Friendo?

I'm curious about a dyno too, but it irrelevant to what you guys did in Vegas. BTW, Great job on the input and insight you fellas are giving everyone. Its refreshing to finally have info on the 14. Now, where's that graph?!? LOL

He blew it on the 12R as well. 12R motor had balance shaft, was most definately rigid mounted to the frame.

Yes 12 has a balance shaft but not 2 like 14. And aren't the front mounts rubber mounts on 12 if I remember right? So making it not a stressed member... But I could be whrong.

Nah, I'm pretty certain those front mounts come down from the frame and are hard bolted to the motor. No rubber there...Would have to check. EL?

The ZX-14 motor is a rigid mount, no rubber. I've read comments about how that was a design change from the 12R.
