2006 ZX-14 First Ride Photos and thoughts etc

I'm beat and short on time.. waiting for the memory card to download... I'll get up a handful of shots now and then some more later....

I'm not sure how to describe the bike or put it into words just yet.. it feels lighter and turns easier than a 12R... give me some time to collect my thoughts..

if there are any particular questions post them and I'll try my hardest to answer them for ya'll..

gimmee a few secs to get the pix up...

fish - I'm mostly curious to how the fuel injection felt. I know that early FI systems were a little jerky off-idle, how's this one do? I haven't ever spent more than a few minutes on an FI bike (my brother's XX), and it can bey tough to launch smoothly at low-speeds compared to carbs.

How does the engine feel overall? Will it take a big hand full of throtte at lower rpm's and pull clean? Is the engine pretty smooth or does it have certain rpm ranges where it feels buzzy?
What kind of rpm's does it pull at 60mph?
Is the bike wheelie prone or can you launch it pretty hard without the front end aiming for the stars?
How does the gear box feel? Does it shift easily and positive up and down?

Looks like the clip on's are higher than what the bike in my brochure has, might just be the camera angle. Looks like one of the red bikes had an after market 4 into 1 on it as well.

Hows in handle compared to loosing2 inches of wheelbase compared to the 12R? Does it need a damper? what about rearsets since somebody has been grinding on them? Thanks

The latest published figures are nowhere near 2 inches different.
