ZX-12 could beat Busa

ZX-12 could beat Busa
Yes you read it right
The new ZX-14 fairing with the ZX-12R engine could beat Busa, easily!

It's all about aerodynamics when top speed is involved
Kawi puts out more power at top rpm and
while it was very close in the past beating the Busa
now look at the new aerodynamics
THEN
think about the ZX-14 engine
Surely with more power, better aerodynamics it will be the fastest!
The torque is for Drag-Racing
What do I care, I'm looking for the best Sports-Tourer - ever!

why not ?
the idea is not worst than lowering the bike and set a longer wheelbase for drag racing purposes...

I wonder if the zx14's engine will fit on the Citroën 2cv frame?

here's a smart idea... why not ride the ZX-14 the way it is. It will certainly out perform the ZX-12R in every aspect.

The suggetion is akin to asking if you could fit the bodywork from a 2006 Honda Civic onto a 1990 Honda Civic rolling chassis.

I overlayed the frames of the bikes in a photo editor, at scale, and determined that the engine mounting points are quite different. In other words, if you install a ZX-14 motor into a ZX-12R frame, if you got one rear motor mount in you will not get the other, short of some serious mods such as relocating the lower motor mount in the frame by over an inch.

Anyway, the 14 actually has a lighter frame than the 12. Perhaps the question ought to be, if one really likes the 12's bodywork, is how to fit the 12's bodywork onto a 14, plus perhaps a shorter swingarm, or otherwise improve the 14's bodywork, rather than trying to put the doesn't-fit 14 motor into the heavier 12R frame.
