Test Rider - 10 week test of the 14, so he says.
This guy has showed up on 200mph claiming he has been testing the preproduction 14 for the past ten weeks. He works for Kawasaki and is known to several members. He also tested the Busa between 97 and 99.
He says has also been on a banked oval testing the top end handling etc. Make of it what you will. Could be bullshit
""more power than the 12R
but it's just as lardy(i am used to 1000cc or smaller testing)
and kawasaki missed a huge opportunity to make it a supersports, they went for the tourer look
look in MCN's current edition
they have the mean super fast look in there in clay i think, then it became what it is today""
*********************************************************************************************************
""don't know lorcan
production bikes are never the same as test bikes, though the whole point of testing is to test a bike which is as close as possible to the production version. Mine is NOT restricted, don't know about production bike. On a banked oval it did over 200 mph genuine
but remember the meaningful top speed of a bike should be tested around 1 to 1.25 miles, which should get it to 95% of it's top speed""
********************************************************************************************************
""no it's only lardy compared to 1000cc bikes
it's better than the hayabusa or 12R""
********************************************************************************************************
""no,i tested the hayabusa from late 97 to early 99
now i am with K
not allowed ost,my test bike anyway, but it should be out be then,i have read snail is ordering one""
********************************************************************************************************
""ok i'm going out now,i have 1 week off,so thanks for the welcome
might be able to sort some piccies out next time, but have to talk to boss to see what the agenda is with the 14R and publicity and kawasaki""
Interesting.

I wouldn't agree with what he says about 95% over 1 - 1.25 miles as most stock bikes have topped out before the tming lights.
If it can break 200 on an oval, it can do it on a flyer in the right condiitons.
