ZZR14 - aerodynamics look impressive.
Now this is interesting.
Look at this picture.
Those George Foreman grill slits actually start behind the front wheel.
Behind the wheel has always been a messy area aerodynamically due to the mini bow-wave it creates and the wasteful turbulence that enters the laminar flow along the side of the bike.
Here you can see the air that normally gathers in here is actually scooped up by the lip beneath the slits and passed up these slits inside the fairing, exiting at the top of the bike (helping filling the hole?). It's clearly not for cooling purposes. Purely aerodynamics.

If it has a discernable function I will pay for it !
Otherwise its a waste.
My dealer has pre sold every bike he can get his hands on !
Appears that it fly's off the salesroom floor too!
there'll be lots of surprised busa owners this year.
Wa wa wa .....waaaaaa!

Perhaps...
Then again I think there may be a lot of ZX14 owners bending over for the new Busa - one way or the other...
I suspect Kawi most likely will get caught with their pants down when the new Busa is introduced, unless the craptown rumor of a 14r is true. If it is, we'll see. If it isn't, guys who've spent a bucket of money on a new 14 will have few choices:
1) Try to outspend the Busa boys to make more power (highly unlikely)
2) Try to avoid taking on a new Busa (unlikely)
3) Go ahead and take on new Busas, and lose most of the time (more likely), or
4) Take it in the shorts trading your new 14 in on a new Busa (most likely).
Currently of course this is all spit and guess as Kawi isn't releasing any information on which to say one way or the other, and the rumors of a new Busa are still just that - rumors.
I just can't help but think that overconfidence in this case is going to result in receiving the wrong end of an ungreased wooden dowel...

Earliest on May, latest on August will we know if there is any new Super-Busa or not.
Meanwhile the BIg Kawi is not out yet.

This thing will fly.
Laminar flow only works for slender bodies, like airfoil sections on aircraft, which can maintain laminar flow, and then only sometimes when conditions are perfect.
The P51 was the first aircraft to be designed for laminar flow. It is a aerodynamics term for the most part and not applicable to sub 200 MPH motorcycles, the term streamlining is more appropriate for motorcycles.
Think of streamlining as more of a qualitative term related to making a shape smoother and more sleek, but aerodynamics is a quantitative science that applies mathematical equations and experimental measurements to improving the lift and drag performance of a shape.
Those George Foreman grill slits are solely cosmetic!!

There isn't gonna be an ALL NEW HAYABUSA period! The government will step in and shut it all down with restrictions right after the ZX-14 has sold plenty.
If Suzuki builds a new Busa, it'll be in the 1400cc range and still only have like 200-210 hp at best. The Kawasaki ZX-14 is already at 200 hp, or within 5 hp of it, and a few mods will push it up near 210 hp easily. Besides that, if they build a new hayabusa 1400 something cc and 210hp, it'll be heavier than the ZX-14 already is so it'll still be slower. If Suzuki wants to equal or beat the ZX-14, they 'd better build 1500cc minimum.
Kawasaki's can make the same hp as the Suzuki's but with less cc's.

The rumoured B-King was supposed to be 1500cc
What if the new Busa is a Turbo-Busa?!

Then 1505cc maybe? Super-Busa!
Using only high-octane gasoline, dual spark-plugs per cylinder
only one titanium can, lighter, more torque/hp
