These numbers come from Coby Adams on his very low reading dyno........reliable source of mine is Coby himself
Well who is dissappointed? I was thinking thats pretty good since its a real world dyno and not a hopped up magazine test bike.. Maybe the bike will come to life with a exhaust on it. Looks like Suzuki is not going to have to shell out to much R&D money to catch the 14. Oh well its a on going cycle

The figures are less than 180hp rwhp,
even when assisted with RAM-Air and after the airbox modifications.
The mid-range and low torque must be preserved.
Watch those 1/4 mile times go under 9,5s !!

169 rwhp is really good, compared to zx10r's running 150-152 rwhp on low-spitting dyno's...busa's won't push 152 on low-spitting dyno's. If the dyno truly gives low numbers then your looking at the zx14 having somewhere close to 20 rwhp more then a zx10...thats huge...get rid of that exhaust, throw some intake, tuning, etc and gearing and we are looking at something that could knock the pants off any busa or zx12r, or stretched 10r...A zx10r strapped with and extended arm and a good rider will smoke a busa or zx12r...the thing is clutch timing...

I would take the other side -- I doubt it will make 180 rwhp SAE on anything but the happiest dynos if even then, and even that I think is unlikely.
Stock, that is.
With minor tweaks, meaning pipe, Power Commander, and air filters if desired, I expect it to make 185-190 SAE on a typical Dynojet. With cams, around 200 (more benefit to cams on this bike than the Twelve, I'm thinking.)
Those are my guesses FWIW

Some people here might have inside knowledge, thus already know better.
Most busa's build around 152-157 RWHP. as an average typical number.
25 more than that would seem to be a reasonable objective for Kawi.
I definately agree that longer duration cams work better with longer stroke motors- better vacuum signal, as well emisions controls will dictate shorter duration, less overlap and reduced top end power.
Doesn't hurt to hope.
Many will be dissapionted if the piped , air box modded 7 yr old busa's are competative with a brand new design with so much hype.
