My 2002 12 weighs 510lbs. with Akrapovic pipe, ready to ride with 1 gallon of gas in tank!!!
I will guess the 14 will weigh around 500lbs. with an Akrapovic pipe, ready to ride with 1 gallon of gas in tank!!!
I'll bet 525 at best

I'll go with 505-510 for this comparison.
Why should it be heavier, Akrapovic'd, than the 12? Yeah the bodywork gives a visual LOOK of fatness but is it really going to be heavier plastics than the 12? If so probably not by more than a pound or two from the tailpiece being bigger. The 12's headlight is heavy, so the 14's lights very likely don't weigh more. If the crank is heavier it's not likely by much. The wheels are probably lighter, maybe substantially so (thus giving the hopes of some possible savings. The frame is reported to be several pounds lighter, though on the other hand a 2nd balancer has been added, maybe cancelling that out.
Overall, I just don't see the nuts-and-bolts reason to predict it to be heavier than the 12 in the same Akrapovic'd condition?

I'm wonderin how accurate these numbers really are.
I'm gonna swing by KHI today and see if they have any literature yet (like I did beforethe 10 came out).

I hope the 210 KG is the ABS version, with center stand etc.
The cats must weigh it down.
A good titanium 4-1 exh will probably shave another 15 lbs.
Gel battery another 4 lbs, (and will not leak all over the frame).
I would think the exhaust is where it gained any weight that can easily be fixed.
ZX12 4-1.
ZX14 4-2 with catalytic converters.
Probably has heavy crank ( hope it can handle 500HP like busa)and sec. balancer.
Heavier plastic, lighter headlight. Lighter rims etc................
