Engine swap anyone?

With all that is written zx12 didn't anyone notice
"This all new in-line four has evolved from the Ninja ZX-12R and features a bore and stroke of 84 x 61mm packed into a purposefully designed compact outline that minimizes engine width, leaving it at virtually the same width as the 12R"
Is anyone considering swapping one of these engines into out much nicer looking zx12r?

For what its going to cost to do that, it would be easier to put a big-bore kit on a 12 and have 190rwhp.

It will not fit.
It's either the big bore kit
or modifying the 14 to look like 12

That engine alone will cost a ridiculous amount of money the first year...go big bore with your 12 instead.

The engine mounting points are different. Maybe, hypothetically, one could weld and redrill the frame but for sure the upper and lower rear mounts are NOT going to both fit at the same time to the stock frame.

Why is this even being talked about? I would think the 14 is going to be a better bike ALL around compared to the 12. It HAS to be, otherwise they'll be in the showrooms alongside the 2001 12's you still see around! As far as looks, it will grow on all and become the norm...soon the 12's will look just plain old.

Many are assuming it is going to be heavy (contrary to "feel" impressions of those sitting on the bike) and it has a longer wheelbase, and they just figure it will be more "tourer-like" than supersports. They may be figuring wrong, or right: no one outside Kawasaki will know till there are ride reports.

Or, also, out of not liking the looks, or perhaps thinking of a they-hope-potentially-more-economical thing to do than buying a new bike.

The way I see it, it HAS to be at least the same weight as the 12. In this day and age, bikes usually get lighter, NOT heavier! I would think it will be as good, or even a BETTER handling bike then the 12 is.

All that matters is it will be faster in the 1/4 mile
