24 hour Speed Record attempt ?
I'm wondering if Kawasaki plans to grab BACK the speed records with this beast. If they do it at Talladega , I'll be glad to donate my time , even if it's to fetch coffee and doughnuts.

What kind of mph's do they stay above for such an attempt? How many riders?

I'm not sure what the current record is,I think the Busa has them now, but there are a slew of records on the way to 24 hours. They go pretty much WFO for the whole time making only fuel ,and tire stops.Several riders and mechanics , many tires ,chains, and other parts. Usually two bikes in case one fails. Kawasaki has held these records before .It would make for some great braggin' rights.

i say use real high mileage tires, and run on a much longer track (think open desert road) so you can do in-flight refueling from another fast vehicle or even from a place or heli. blow the doors right off the old record!

...its probably quicker to zoom in/out of the pits and refuel with the dump cans vs slowing down on the track for in-flight refueling, yes?

yeah, i think u'r right worm~hole. even if u refueld without slowing down significantly (which i was assuming), u'd need to change riders every so often anyway, and even if not, the amount of time lost to stop for refueling probably is small enough that it likely won't make the difference in beating the record.
