Well that's good news then and I'm glad you finally came to your senses, gathered up enough courage to actually say it out loud to the rest of the group; takes a big man to do that. So does this mean you'll get one then or not that committed yet? Across the net I've been looking at other sites and listening to the conversations taking place. So far it seem most (75%) of the ZZR1200 folks seem to like it and roughly 50% of the ZX-12R folks feel the same way. No need in mentioning what the Busa guys think is it? Oh by the way.... the pictures you posted is of the Euro color that the states isn't getting (sigh) not the BLACK you've admitted you love. Good job comming out!

Nice Fish...But since you have access to insiders at Kawasaki, just tell them that the brown rims, calipers and bottom of forks dont match black, blue or any other color they paint the 14...

Well Hell Fishy some guys like FAT chicks too. The bike may have an awsome motor without doubt, but being a ZX10 rider yourself you know what weight means as far as?? WELL, everything!!! It will make a great sport cruiser and without doubt a good drag platform to start from and build something? Just better not get gaught up at the GAP on that THING or you'll get your feelings hurt and hurt bad. And after all isn't that what a sportbike is really designed to do? Go around corners really fast??? I may be wrong BUT??

Who knows the fairing being bulbous and the tail being ZX-11 style suggest weight to the eye but rationally are not substantial causes of high weight.
There is absolutely no way to know whether this thing has been greatly lightened from the 12, only a little lightened, not at all, or is heavier, till it is released. I don't understand the assumption being generally made that it is heavy. That's unwarranted -- total crapshoot as to whether that's true or not.

I own 3 kawasaki's 89zx10, 03zx9r, and an 02zx12r... I'm a kawasaki die hard.. However for me to buy a 14 it will HAVE TO make at least 177 horsepower at the back wheel bone stock.. A stock 12 makes about 162-162 according to the magazines.. I dont necessarily like the big stroke and the low 11000 rpm red line.. we shall see

I use the Gap as reference only because most everyone in the free world knows of the place and it's my home turf, SO I refer. But it really don't matter where you run that pig short of a strait line it's going to be sad It will be great for the straits, but if riding the strait shit was all I had to look forward to I would just as soon quit. Sportbike = turning left and right and breaking really hard and pitchin the bitch down at the end of a fast strait. What's the use in going super fast if at the end of the strait you have to blow off the corner because the bike won't stop or turn to make the corner? I'm sure it will sell but it's a Bastard at best. It's not a sportbike and really not a very good cruiser either compared to what a great cruiser is. It's stuck right there in the middle kinda like some Bi Sexual that can't decide it they like taking it or giving it.
I'm sure Cali is great, but it aint got nuttin on my playground. Actually the Gap is lame compaired to the Cherohala Skyway. It's way up there in the sky close to GOD himself. It makes the trip home a little shorter for ya if you fuck up and bite it. PCH1 is close second to the Skyway.........

I've been patiently waiting for Honda's replacement for the CBR1100XX and damn if Kawasaki didn't build it. I'll be going to the steeler to put some green on big green (red). Its time for grampa to buy his own Christmas even if I have to wait till Feb. to get it.

You're right Fish about judging a book by it's cover. But Damnit man that thing seems to dwarf my 12R and that in itself says that it can't keep up. I'm very loyal to Kawasaki and if I was 10 years older I may have 14. But really with tires being a good as they are and liter bikes being as fast as they are why have a FAT bike? In 30 plus years of riding it's never been this good. The 10R is as close to perfect as you can get.

...if the ergos fit, then a fat/heavy bike makes it a more pleasant hyperspeed sport-touring mount....more stable in the straights and gentle curves, less bouncing, less rider fatigue over the long haul....well, that's my humble opinion of why a fat bike....a quick, fast, fat bike can be 'perfect', too....
