But really with tires being a good as they are and liter bikes being as fast as they are why have a FAT bike.

...if the ergos fit, then a fat/heavy bike makes it a more pleasant hyperspeed sport-touring mount....more stable in the straights and gentle curves, less bouncing, less rider fatigue over the long haul....well, that's my humble opinion of why a fat bike....a quick, fast, fat bike can be 'perfect', too....

Duely Noted and respected. The 10r to me is everything that I've spent years trying to configure other stuff into only to fall short of the mark. Kawasaki for once hit the target dead on with the 10R. I just hope they haven't started to neuter it in 06 the way they're so famous for doing. Adding weight to the rotating assembly is what they're famous for when the want to detune something for the masses.

Three seconds per lap faster around Autopolis doesn't sound detuned.

...or you could look at the ZX14 this way: its for the more biologically age-advanced, and perhaps a more uh 'girthy' sport-rider who just likes to go fast in a straight line and in gentle curves more effortlessly and more comfortably than when he/she was younger and faster....even if it was only in their own minds....like me ....yup, I think the ZX14 would fit the bill quite well if its everything we 'mature' riders hope it'll be....
