Why did Kawi not release the ZX-14 in green?
I cant understand why Mama K did not release the new 14 in classic Kawi green? Not only would it look damn good, but it's a first year run of a Kawi.
Even the 10R has had green as an option for a color in all years since 2004.
I am just speculating of course...but is Kawi trying to have the 14 not be associated with the other R models in the ZX line. I have a hard time believing this though since it is still badged as a Ninja.
So yeah, why no green for the 14?

I for one am glad that didn't have agreen color. While I understand the big 4 motocycle manufactures have their primary colors, I don't really care for any of them (RED-HONDA, BLUE-YAMAHA, GREEN-KAWASAKI, etc). Who wants a bike in Green? Just as well who wants Purple? Not me! The younger guys seems to steer more to the multi color designs but I'd much rather have a solid color and something that doesn't stick out too much. I'm old I guess at 35yrs but the solid, darker colors just look better to me. Also, I suppose it's not really the color more the shade of color that choosen. You see the strandard Honda VFR RED doesn't appeal to me but I liked the RED choosen for the 2001 CBR1100XX, wasn't as bright and looked richer in color that added depth the the bike. Black always looks good for any bike but that freaking blue looks like you're riding a around on cotton -candy or something. A slightly darker blue would have looked better. Of course I guess it's all a matter of taste and you could paint one in Kawi Green if you wanted to be different, for little to nothing. I agree with you in that they are somewhat trying to distance this bike from the other 'R' series machines. Still that Blue I just don't get or maybe it's just how it looks in the pictures vs. in reall life! Some here mentioned they're getting theirs in black, same as myself because death only comes in one color. Now that I like!

I'll second that, if you want a boy racer look go buy a gixxer. I really liked the y2k 12r red, very rich color. The y2k 12r green was ok but the Kaw green would look pukey.

Kawi is probably hoping to get a lot of first time buyers and busa converts...people that could care less about kawi green or what it means. 3 colors other than green just gives them more options.
