I dont think its all that bad really! I like it and can't wait to see it in the flesh so to speak. It's long and fukkin mean. I know it HAS to go like hell thats all that matters. Have some faith you guys! Why prejudge till you see or ride the thing. 90% of the time Kawasaki has had the right goods IMHO

We all made our own judgement on the bike when we all saw the first pics released. Some stated that they liked it and others stated that they didnt like it. I for one dont like the look of the bike in the pics, its ugly as hell, but I also know that I have to see one and ride it before I can say i dont want one or i hate that bike. But i will say this there are alot of dedicated kawasaki guys out there, and most of them even though the bike may not be a hottie may still get one and continue to be loyal. To some people its a numbers game to some they love the Zx line. Just my opinion, thats why im here.

Specs?

Seems like there has only been one set of "specs" released (at least here in the US) that are official.

Unless ya meant specs as in speculations.

By now, I'm more interested in specifications - the speculations were old months ago.

I'm lookin for a new bike right now and really wonderin bout a few things - is the 14 the real deal, will the 07 Busa re-up the stakes or should I just buy an 05 Busa and save $5k for the same power????

I just dunno.

I really do like the bike.
It has updated componentry, and the look of it has really grown on me.
Ergonomics and decent passenger seat, with dimensions that do not contort my body into a taco are very important too.
Whether some think it reasonable or not, my opinion is that it should have about 15 HP more at the crank, or the equivalent to 20-25 rwhp more than the current BUSA., and an equivalent increase in torque through the midrange.
10 HP more than the Busa is not going leave the other "... road burners far behind..."
As stated in the Canadian Kawasaki advertising.

My opinion IS mine.

What really bothers me is the inability to speak my mind here sometimes.
Post hijackers, or tyrants I call them.
The kind of people most socially adept try to avoid.
Kinda like sales people who hang around the front door and try to jump you.

Why is it a couple of people here have a very direct motive to push their opinion, by arguing, and continually trying to change my opinion, or the opinions of others?

I don't care what drools from their mouths, I am not buying the sales pitch.
They will not change my mind.
I am an idealist, period.

In an effort to try to prevent the arguing on open forum, I pm these individuals and they still cant refrain themselves, and simply agree to disagree.
They can't agree with me or let me have an opinion.
Must be some alterior motive . Eventually everyone else will see through it , and if not will get as sick of it as I am.
Keeping an even head, as difficult as it is at times, I refrain from the name calling which they resort to.

I am not asking for anyone opinion, or arguement.
Just providing my perspective as requested.
Just answering EL.

I can not wait to see how much HP I can build in one of the 14 motors!!! Man would I love to put one of these in a dragbike!!! for sure....I want to see what people are getting out of them and that will give me the level of what I can do with one....

Analog speedomater is a must for me
The needle climb tells me the acceleration
Hmmm...how about an accelerometer insted of the rpm thing
I mean one can hear the mean engine screaming when the redline closes on

What about a dual-marked analog speedo where you simultaneously see both units
Now where did I see that thing lately?

Somehow, I still prefer the old analog type. Digital is cool, but, with the analog, one does not have to read any numbers. Once you are used to your speedo, just quick glance at the position of the sweep tells you your velocity. Same goes with the tach. Just keep it simple for me.

naw... I personally prefer a digital speedo... as for the tach it;s best analogue... but hey.. that's just me.

Just a curious thing for me.

What draws you to it or to this forum....Is there something magical in the air or is it the same reason that Im asking this question "CURIOSITY" ??

"Hi Honey, how much did you get accomplished on your list today?"... "Geeze, I'm on my second pack of cigarettes before lunch.' 'I gotta quit."... "What time do you have sir?" ... "That'll be $5.78 please." ... "Watch out ass hole, you missed me by inches!"... "Who you calling ass hole?' 'I missed you by a mile."... "Honey!, Honey! I grew an extra inch using the penis enlargement machine you gave me for Christmas!" "Come here quick honey!' 'Look at that dump I took.' 'It's gotta weight a ton!"

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say generally... people just can't stop talking about numbers.
