Mild weather today...
...clear skies, open roads...like yesterday...jato and I took our bikes (his KLR, my KLX) up the gravel and dirt Nate Harrison Grade yesterday and down the famous paved torture  of the South Grade of Palomar Mountain...it was a gorgeous day...
...today I'm going for a short 150 mile pavment ride on the KLX before I suit up for work (no DOT knobbies yet, the TrailWings on Nate Harrison Grade reinforced my resolve to get knobbies on this KLX, 606s on order, I'll mount them next week)...a short hop to BajaDesigns to see what they have for PK...I'll be due for my first KLX oil/oil filter change...days like these make me feel good about living in SoCal

...ok...your intrepid servant took a detour...didn't go for the planned 150 miler...only went 35 miles...but what a detour and what a fun 35 miles...aired down the psi to 16 rear/18 front and went to explore the other parts of this unpaved easement road that winds back up into the nearby ranch hills...beauty, eh?...had to crawl in many sections...lots of imbedded rocks, softball size rocks, silt, gravel, and off camber curves...
...then it eventually lead out to some wonderful undulating and curvy pavement past the vineyards and horse farms...I never knew these places existed so close to my house!...need to explore more in the next few days....TrailWings still suck off-road, but are great on pavement...
