DAMN CA EMISSIONS DEVICES!
...I'm all for clean air, but I'm not at all for the bike bucking and surging and eventually stalling and leaving me stranded due to faulty emissions devices...
...my KLX did just that an hour ago...could it be like the KLR's vacuum problem?...it would turn over, but wouldn't catch and start...called jato and ran it by him...he says to open the gas cap and listen for a hissing sound...sure enough there it is...primed it and it starts...stalled and died two more times within two miles of each other on the way back to my house and I cleared it the same way...but the third time was enough and the freeway's not a place to futzing around with 80~90mph vehicles zooming by...so I took the gas cap off, primed it, and rode it with my left hand covering the open gas tank (it was near full)...rode the rest of the fifteen miles with no problems...
...seeing as this will be my off-road trail-use bike anyway, that shit is coming off...but it'll have to wait until I return from Baja this Friday...stupid shit, man...
