Cam Timing
Since I basically have a spare head, cams, etc.. I've been thinking about doing two things: remove the shim under the cylinder and running two intake cams.
Doug, will this give me any power? I'm currently running a stock zx12 with fcr carbs and alcohol so I figured any compression increase would help. What do you think??
Also, what would be good cam timing for top end?

More compression is especially good on alky, but that .007 base gasket won't help much. You can mill the head up to .020, thiough. Can you change pistons in your class? Muzzys has std. bore high compression pistons. Stock engines like 105/103.

Compression!
There's no restriction on the piston (other than 1200cc max) but compression (15 to 45 mins after the race) can be no more than 220 psi average after 10 revolutions. I know some people roll the cams to help manage the compression ( a small battery helps too!). Any idea what the high-compression pistons might read on a compression gauge?
