Pretty good since late January. That's when we finally figured out that it was inflammatory arthritis was why I had swollen hands and shoulder pain for the previous 18 + months. Needless to say, not being able to even dress myself during that time (wore scrubs most of the time), it really cut into my riding time. Thanks to "better living through chemistry", all's kewl now.

Ahhhh... the joys of "co-owning" a family business with one's sister. Being an "employee" was easy when my parents ran the show. Had lots of free time and always a lil' spendin' cash in my pocket. Now, it's dealing with rising insurance costs (our employees don't pay-the company does), FICA, other taxes, bills and so on. When money's tight, the government and employees get paid first. Then the bills, and finally, if there's still money left... me & my sister. Doesn't happen often, but there has been a few times we don't get a full paycheck (or one at all).
Still, it ain't that bad. Just bought (financed) $40K worth of new equipment (including a uber rotary screw air compressor w/ dryer). Being the ""shop fix-it guy", I'm stuck with setting up all the new "toys", as well as making sure everything from the wide format digital printer to the commodes are maintained. Throw in the fact that we're in our "political season" (making campaign signs, t-shirts, banners, etc.) and I still don't get much of a chance to go ride. On the other hand, it's been averaging over 100 degrees here (heat index 110+), so going out for a 200+ mile ride isn't the must fun thing going right now. But the heat and elections will be over soon enough and I should be able to get some riding in... eventually.
BTW - commuting to work on my '09 250 does NOT count as "riding".

I just shelled out $2,500 for a water leak under my house and my insurance said " no signs of damage... no coverage". Seems that one of my pipes from my kitchen to the bathrooms sprung a leak. A 133,750 gallons in 3 months leak. You'd think that much water would at least leave a puddle somewhere, eh? Not when your house was built on a slap (no crawl space). The water company says they will refund some of my bill (about $75 of the $550 I paid). Now I got about $8K of hail damage to my roof. At least insurance is going to cover most of it (after a $1,000 deductible).
Unless there's some sort of "federal stimulus money" set aside for me to go AND they figure out how to put about 28~30 hours in a day... I don't see it happenin' anytime in the next couple of years.
