I have it from a very good source that some 400 Secret Service agents quit their jobs when The Messiah took office. They knew a shit storm was a brewin'.

Are you sure, you don't know my source, he does a lot of training (he trains them) inside the DoD, NASA and MANY other Govt. Agencies.

I dunno... seems to me that everything is/was so fucked up that the shadowy overlords have fucked everything up so badly over the last several presidencies that they're throwing in their longshot... everyone knows that if "he fails" we're all screwed so I dont think anyone really wants to see that... however I do think that a lot of people want a more fiscally responsible govt (not that the last one was any better) ... but the "no earmarks" coupled with the immediate pledge to build a magnetically levitating train from Vegas to Disneyland make many scratch their heads... :confused

Right, he should have done it right away, because that's what John Wayne would have done.
By the way, he authorized deadly force from the beginning, but only if the captain's life was in imminent danger.
I guess the GOP way to do things would have been to drop atom bombs on all of Somalia, occupy it for 8 years, spend a trillion dollars, kill 250,000 Somalis and 5000 Americans and declare victory?

it would be hard to argue that the piracy problem would not be solved, let alone eradicated (or "irradiated" ) in the above mentioned scenario
