Need opinions for new bike
I've been riding an FZ6 for the last three years and am ready to step up in bike. Currently I only intend on street riding and a few weekend trips with some friends and the wife. So I have to consider the two up factor as well as a bike that I can still have a blast on in the twisties and highway. I would like to have something that I could take to the track if I decide too, but have no interest in the drag stip.
So thats my situation, and I don't really have any brand lolalty. I have been looking at all of the big 4's 600's - 14's (the busa and 14 basically for the two up and comfort on trips) as well as the Triumph's Speed Tripple.
The problem is none of the dealers around here have demo's and most people I talk to are brand biased. Most of the folks on here have ridden most of whats out there and maybe you guys could give me your opinions.
I want a solid bike with low maint. and that handles well. I don't have an ego so I don't care about having a particular number on the tail or do I really care about having the fastest bike of my buddies.
Let me know what you guys think.

Man good luck- in one sentence you say something you can take to the track but in the next you say ZX14... broad huh?
I have a ZX14 for the streets and 2 up is great. I also have a 600RR for the track, and its a Honda so its naturally fun and fast :P

Yeah I know, really broad range. I think the track will have to be dropped from the equation if I want to keep the two up comfort. I will also be doing a lot of city driving, which I am not sure the busa or 14 would be the best for.

i would get a 14 or a busa. you will find a busa for cheaper used. plus busa's are like the jeeps of aftermarket parts. you could practically build one from scratch. then again, i think 14's look better than the busas. from what you are saying though, i would stick with one of those two. good luck!!!

Had a Busa and have a 14. Both very nice around town. Both a little hot in the summer here in Florida. Kinda cook your legs a little.
Both great for long rides, both nice for 2 up riding, both fast as heck and fun in the twisty roads too. Both very nice and stable on the highway. Just great do anything bikes.

I'm located in Winter Garden which is in the northwest corner of Orange County. About 1:30 min. from Tampa depending on traffic.
