Muzzys Returns to Roadracing at this Weekend's AMA Races at Fontana

After an almost 6 year depature from Roadracing, Rob Muzzy and Muzzys Perfomance Products have thrown their hat in the ring, supporting now privateer racer Doug Chandler.

Doug will make his debut onboard a Muzzys powered 2006 Kawasaki ZX-10R this weekend at the AMA races at California Speedway (Fontana).

In an interview with Bikeland, Rob said that "Muzzys is committed to helping Chandler. This was a last minute deal for us. We've built a motor for him, a prototype '06 pipe and rearsets. We're going to support him in the best way we can. Doug Chandler is an officially contracted support rider for us... if he's racing that means we're racing"

Muzzys left the Roadracing circuit in '99.

Hopefully they can find some success that Kawasaki has really lacked for a really long time now in roadracing. Go Chandler and Muzzys!

I have to say this actually brought a tear to my eyes! I truly miss seeing Muzzy's in the roadracing paddocks and Doug is one of the most "down to earth" people I have ever met.

One of my best memories is being at the Loudon Superbike round in the 90's and having Rob sign my Muzzy pipe on my ZX10. They were having problems getting the nameplates at the time for the pipes, and mine was shipped without one. I wheeled my bike up to the tent and Rob was more than happy to oblige! Thanks Rob!

He said at the time he had never signed a pipe before. I thought, wow, I have the only personally signed Rob Muzzy signature series pipe on the planet!

GO! Doug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rob.................I'm thrilled to see you back on the track with something besides a Roto Tiller technology Powered bike......... I have a great idea. Use that Harley JUNK to stake the tent down for Doug's pits
