How come when cage drivers kill motorcyclists the penalty is not as stiff, especially when they are government officials....

I am sorry about anyone's death. But this is TOTAL BULLSHIT!!!

I could have seen him get a manslaughter charge, but 30 years in prison??? NO WAY...

This is ridiculous. The guy probably couldn't afford a decent lawyer and that's the end of him. The max this guy should have gotten was manslaughter, it's not like he directly killed the cop by blowing up the tire. If anything, the family should be sueing the tire company or whoever maintains the police cars.

What if I'm speeding and a cop chokes on his donut and dies...is that my fault too?

This is beyond rediculous. Somebody's got to help that poor chap get out of this one. Maybe a high profile lawyer can sue on his case, and make some loot?? Gotta be something done, fuck.....

i can't even begin to imagine what the judge was thinking. the charge could not have been murder, cause that requires intent to kill as i understand it. i can't help but think this is gonna get overturned evetually, cause it's just stupid.

....intent is very pivotal in any case....interpretation of intent can be unforgiving...Fla laws appear harsh indeed....just don't speed in Fla....no matter what you're riding/driving...
