That's the best color it's ever been (IMO.)
Does a lot to improve it.
Some shapes are that way... while some (e.g. the ZX-12R) look good no matter the color, others can be remarkably affected by it. At least so far as the pic goes, but I bet in person too, the above does wonders for the Busa's shape, IMO, that other colors absolutely never did.

it surely SURPRISES me how Suzuki didnt know kawi was up to the 14. I would bet almost 100% that Suzuki will have its answer in the form of an overhaul or new model come 2007. Hell, I'll even bet on it.
But the Busa still sells out every year. A good refinement on the model would do a lot of good for an already good bike!

The latest issue of Sport Rider is pretty damn weird.
I don't know what the situation is there... payola? Dementia? Or is there actually an aspect of truth?
In all these years I don't think anyone -- except maybe a Suzuki fan that has never ridden the Kawasaki -- has claimed the Busa was a better handling bike.
This issue of Sport Rider does claim that in their current comparo with the 12R and the BMW, and says they think the suspension was upgraded.
All well and good, but when they described the 12 as being "nervous" and "harsh" I have to wonder how much reality (besides the reality of advertising $$$) there was to that test. I'm sure there are bikes that are plusher while being excellent sportbikes but I don't think the 12 is "harsh," and "nervous" is just plain crazy. No damn way. They're either demented, paid off, or there was something way wrong with that particular bike's settings and they were too dumb to realize it?
Anyhow, point is, Sport Rider (whether rationally or in some hazed hallucinogenic delusion) thinks the Busa's suspension has been updated. If so, good thing.
