South American habits we had to break

Well, Sagot and I both made it back from South America in one piece. Driving a car in Vancouver after all that is really hard now!! Here's a list of the (mostly bad) habits I/we developed in South America. Please remember that we often didn't see a lot of other vehicles on the road, and also, that when in Rome.....

-taking in 360 degree views while travelling at 110km/hr
-taking photos while travelling at 80 km/hr
-automatically stopping for gas at any gas station that appears to have cold beverages
-drinking beer at the gas station
-translating to Scott everything the waiter/salesperson/cop/border official said to us
-lying to Scott about what exactly the waiter/salesperson/cop/border official said to us
-flashing our headlights at oncoming cars to indicate (choose one) hi/I'm in your lane/you're in my lane/isn't the weather lovely/yes, these are big bikes and not mopeds/watch out for cows (or ostriches, or sheep, or clods of dirt and glass, or assorted loose animals) on the road ahead
-lanes?? What a waste of paint!!
-I honk, therefore I am
-checking to see whether the toilet has a flusher or just a bucket of water before checking into a hostal
-wearing the same clothes every day until one or more pieces fail to pass the "smell test"
-not working or otherwise doing anything to earn money

I'm missing a bunch but my mind is no longer as clear as it was while riding the days away.
