Muffler bracket recall.
Some people had problems getting the rear seat cowl to stay on.
Some people think they need a steering damper.
They're huge fun.

Ok, not really an issue then....since I plan on riding it exclusively on the track.

Is $4000 a decent price?

That is a damn good deal if it is a clean title...

I assume its not a salvage title bike?

636's do pretty well in our club. BUT they've had a hell of a time setting up the front end on them for 'feel' to keep these guys from crashing.

'course, our suspension guy just may not be as well versed with 636's as he needs to be.

If I start to come in on one under the brakes I gotta get a really good drive if I am to even keep up with 'em on the straight. Great motor for sure.

Actually, that sounds like a hell of deal. Previous gen R6's are selling for $3-4k that are superbike and supersport legal.

If the suspension is for REAL (new internals, Traxxion, for the fork - Penske rear shock) that seems to be pretty good. And if it has other stuff like rear sets, clip ons, assorted sprokets, good race body work etc. it ain't bad at all.

And if it's been computracked don't worry about the frame. It'll be right.

Check out these bikes for sale for comparos:

We own one, and I just rode one up to Palomar with XL... only complaint I had (my fault really) was that I was so used to the slipper clutch in the 10R that I kept buggering up my downshifts.. took me a while to remember to double clutch... guess I am spoiled by the 10R a bit...

other than that it's a great bike.. very very light and turns very nicely... (better than the 10R IMHO)
