Routledge Run this wknd.
I'll post this on dualsportbc.com when I get a firm confirmation.
I've been playing telephone tag with a guy who rents out cabins in Coalmont. About 1/4 mile from the campsite and 1 block from the Coalmont hotel. He's left a message that he will have something available and he's going to call me back tomorrow night. Each cabin sleeps 4, has a shower, fridge etc. A guy up there told me he thinks the cabins are $40/night, so I'll tell him we need 2 because so far we have enough people for 1 cabin.
He's on the road right now so I cant get a hold of him.

Thanks Bill. That'll be great. You, Andy, John & me.
I asume you had a good ride on Saturday?
The Elefant is up & running! This is one big fucking bike! Gobs of power, begs you to stand on the pegs, and the engine braking is spooky. Seems to have a lean spot / flutter around 7grand, so I'll be getting Imperial to have a look. Or maybe these engines aren't supposed to go up there?
Where are you at with the DR for the weekend?

Picking up some carb parts tomorrow. Even if I get it running, I'll probably take the Honda just to be on the safe side.
Not sure what the red line is on that engine but 7000 should be ok????

Just reserved and posted the owner's ph no. on dualsportbc. The cost for 3 or more people per cabin is $60 per night. NO, I'm not pocketing the extra $20 LOL! The guy who told me he thought it was $40 was a friend who is renting a cabin there, so he gets it for much cheaper and wasnt positive of the price.
Self contained, including shower, cooking facilities and bedding if needed. I'm going to pack my sleeping bag anyway.
If this works out ok, I was thinking it could be very convenient for weekends away on the dual sport bikes! Or even street bikes.

Thx Bill. I assume that John & Andy will see this on dualsportbc.com.
Dibs on one of the bunks! I'll pack a sleeping bag as well (to protect the beer in transit).
See you at 0700 Saturday.

Ha Ha Ha Ha! I was thinking the same thing about the sleeping bag. As our stuff is bein trucked up, I'm shoving it in a big plastic cooler, just in case the fridge takes too long to get CocaCola cold.

Great weekend! Except for the poor guy who had the horrible off! I'm calling the hospital this morning to see if he's allowed visitors.
Man....am I stiff and sore today!! Oh well, it's the only kind of exercise I really enjoy!! Can't believe the transformation the Dunlop 606 front made to the bike. I was on the verge of trading it for a DR350 but not so sure now. Especially after getting new front pads for it and now I need new wheel bearings. May as well keep it and work on getting the RAT DR350 running.
Off the bearing shop today to get some reasonably priced bearings!!!!!!
Will be time for a new chain and sprockets soon too.
