new 500 ninja needed What kawasaki needs to do is come out with a new beginners sport bike. The 250 is too small and the 500 is outdated. What do you think kaw should do with the 500??????

i'd go 400. given the power of the 600s, even a modern 500 would be too much for a beginner's bike imho. hell, even a 400 should be able to produce more than enough power to get a beginner in trouble, but tune it down to make it super smooth, adn ud have a bike that a beginner could handle well and would still have enough get up & go to keep the rider interested after a couple months of riding.

I agree with the 400 idea. My wife wants to work on getting her license but at 5'3" there are very few choices in the sportbike world. Like freek said, keep it smooth and user-friendly, keep the seat reasonably low for confidence during learning and keep the price down. Then it could be the replacement for the 250 and 500 all in one bike. Hello kawasaki how about it?

swft, i did indeed see alot of 400s in japan. i believe it's the cut off for one of the license cc limits, so it makes sense. remember walking by a honda 400 hornet every day that i really liked the look of. dont know why the manufacturers dont sell them here sicne they'er already developed and all. just the cost of certifying them for here i guess? guess u can always look for a grey market bike if ya really want one.
