european conversion?
can someone tell me the difference between [kw and ps]does
it mean crank horsepower or wheel horsepower? or absolutly nothing at all to do with either.

kW is kilowatt, and is significantly larger than HP. HP is around 750W if i'm not mistaken. not sure what different ps makes as opposed to the HP figure we see in north american normally.

PS is a metric horsepower rating.
To convert from PS to standard horsepower........ PS x 0.9863 = HP
A unit of power = 75 meter kilograms-force per second = 735.498 75 watts. Symbol: in French, ch (for cheval-vapeur); in German, PS (for Pferdestärke).

Pretty much all the HP ratings you read from the OEM's are taken at the crankshaft (BHP).
