What I cant wait for... Is for all of the people online here to get a hold of this bike and start tinkering with it... After seeing what everone did with the 12 I cant wait to see them apply themselves to this bike...
there's a lot of mental horsepower in this group (none of it mine) and I am really honestly quite eager to see people rip into this new project... where will we be 2 seasons from now?? only time will tell!

is mental meat kinda like sweater meat? no, i think it's likely quite the opposite.
ok, that was stupid, but i agree it will be interesting to see what happens with the 10. is it gonna be like the 12 where people will make it into a bike twice as good as what it started as, or will it be a case of the bike being so fine tuned form the factory (for a change) that there wont be much the aftermarket can do to improve it?

I agree frEEk, I think the bike will be highly tuned from the factory
and will be hard to improve on. Also, how will the aftermarket fare
in improving this bike. Can the exaust manufacturers do better than
that all titanium piece of art? Maybe airfilter, PCIIIr, removing the
kleen air and catalytic converter ( if it has one? ), steel braided brake
lines? Will it need a steering damper?
I TOO CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE.

I dunno about how "highly tuned" it will be .. .remember that the liter class is going to be raced so there HAS to be room for improvement...
let's just hope it's clutch and steering head are good this time

agreed there will be room for improvement, i just suspect it will be much harder to improve than previous models. esp considering pro race levels of performance (esp factory teams & other well funded teams) come at a price of serious wear issues. i kinda suspect what kawi has done with this bike to get such incredible numbers (and this would be true of the other liter bikes as well) is tuned it as far as they can get while still keeping acceptable wear and reliability. pretty much what many of us do with the bike anyway. if that's the case, it's about time! i cant count the number of times i'v wished vehicle (bike and car) manufacturers would include the common aftermarket mods in a factory package, and without charging as much as or more than the total of doing it urself. in any case, these last couple years have to be some of the biggest jumps in performance and weight in a looong time, if ever. seems the manufacturers have given up on improving things incrementally and really gone for the gold, this year in particular. i mean, if the 10 really does make some 162rwhp as has been reported (wont beleive that number till it has been repeatedly confirmed), that will be a good 18 hp jump from the gsxr1k from 2 years before if i remember correctly. that's insane.

I predict that people will be getting about 30 more rwhp out of it, but only after extensive work... Most people will be happy with the 12 to 15 extra hp from a pipe and power commander. What will be exciting to see is if Kawasaki releases a race kit for it like they did for the 6RR.

I can already image the clutch will be a weak spot. Typically is.
Jesus SWFT... 15 extra horses from boltons?? That would be one SICK ride.
Hope some parts interchange with the 12, 9 or 6.
