Is this the new ZX10R ?
Heard today:
"PRE-production" prototypes are now out in numerous race shops around the world including Japan, Australia, & the UK."
"The bike is done excepting final styling excerises to be determined by the Sept. release date of the 04' model. The remaining changes will be to the tailsection & rear end, possibly swingarm."
"It is very light & fast; on a par with the GSXR1K. The release was delayed until it could be competitive with the GSXR, the target vechile."
Hmmm.....what's ya all think?

Well if it's as bad as it's "face" looks, it's too scary for me.....
Looks kinda like a cartoon character! (A very pissed off one).
Looks kinda skinny too, for a litre bike.

Dunno if it's the real deal or not. All indication would say that it's gonna look like the 6R. I don't know if it'll be as identical as the GSXRs are, but I'll bet they are gonna to be REAL similar. That in a way kinda bums me out because I have mixed emotions about the looks of the new 6s. They're cool, no doubt, but the frontend is boderline fugly to me at times.  But it's all about performance right? I'd say if it outperforms the Gixxer nobody will really care what it looks like.  Personally, I think it'll grow on me eventually.

If the engine and chassis is as angry as the face, bring it on!
Just make it less "cartoonie".
And when are K going to stop fucking about and beat the hell out of these Italian tossers in the MotoGP?

On par with and competetive with the GSXR. Sounds like they wany to be equal with it but not surpass it ? Didn't they do this once before? I like the styling but I'll have to stick with the 12,or even the zzr just for the room. I'm still wondering if this will be the first sportbike with shared parts , like the motor , with Suzuki.

Did you guys check out the integrated front turn signals? Haven't seen any bodywork that looked like that. I think it looks pretty darn good. Also the lights and front fairing ar not like the 636.........

CBR1000RR - 363.7 lbs / 165 hp (estimated)
GSXR 1000 - 370.4 lbs. / 164.0 hp
ZX-10R - 374.8 lbs. / 167.7 hp (estimated)
YZF-R1 - 382.0 lbs / 152.0 hp ('02 hp specs)
I'm sure the R1 will break the 160 mark at the crank for '04 and shed a few more pounds as well. It will be interesting if the ZX or the CBR live up to the numbers being thrown about.
IF I'm able to subtract the same amount of weight of the 10R as I was with the 12R by removing "unecessary" items (-13~15 lbs) and a Muzzy exhaust (-17 lbs)... the "real world" wet weight difference between the two will be getting close to a HUNDRED POUNDS! DOH!
