Hey how come no
Hey how come no ZX11 spot on this site? the new ZX10 hasn't even hit the streets yet and its already got a spot on this site the ZX11 was made from 1990 - 2001 and held the top speed record for many years until the Busa came out, the Blackbird was very close in top speed but no cigar. I've never been beaten by a Blackbird at top speed yet close/race but its still behind.
Dosen't seem right to exclude the once King of speed.
In 1990 that beast hit 176 mph one UK mag had it clocked at 180 mph (stock bike)and that was almost 13 years ago as we approach 03, and now that both the Busa and the ZX12R are restricted to max speed of 186 mph (stock bikes) well thats only 10 mph faster than a (stock ZX11) 13 years later!
so again it just doesn't seem right to exclude a spot here for the ZX11 as this bike should not be forgotten as it truly set the top speed record for many years by a large margine. Yes I ride a mint ZX11D and I plan to keep it when I get my new 12R hope they beef up the clutch for 03.

well, i don't really know why we don't have one. guess there jsut doesnt seem to be that much interest, at lest not here. but more importantly, i think the zx11 is kinda included in teh 12r zone, at least in my mind. i guess it's more an issue of the bike's purpose/focus than the model. i think of the 12 jsut as an evolution of the 11, whereas the 10 has a different focus.

Is the focus of the 10 to replace Kawi's 9?

i would assume so. but i bet they keep the 9 as a softer model, like the zx6 vs the zx6r.

I had both the ZX-12 and a ZX-11 for quite a while, but I finally sold my ZX-11. The ZX-11 was really nice on longer trips, I have many fond memories of my bike.

I bought a ZZR1200 for the longer trips. Making, let alone being comfortable on a trip from Laguna back to Seattle on the 12 in a single day would have been pretty much unthinkable. Only stopped three times for gas on the ZedZedRox!

All of the comforts of home. I heard Corbin is coming out with a microwave to fit the beetle bags.
