Looking at a C14 and a ZX10. I'm pretty clear on the C14. I've spent a good hunk of time researching several different bikes. Looking to save a little time. What about the '08 ZX10: Sub-throttle plate/'flies removal? TRE? Airbox mods? A PC (I'm sure.)?... What's "the" regular, not-too-expensive set-up? Quick and painless, I hope.

Fair thought, but that ain't gonna' happen. I like the relatively simple, basic stuff. It'll at least get a can. After that, only what's worthwhile and fairly cheap: 'flies, TRE, and PC are the main concerns. Thanks, anyway.

there is the thread here where one of the members is doing a complete build up of an 08 Zx10R....he has some very trick stuff....if you ask him he could prolly point you in the right direction, no sense in reinventing the wheel so to speak....

Thanks for the head's up. I just know on my ZX14 the right mods. made a huge difference. If I can make those kind of gains for a grand'ish, I'm all in.

He's about as approachable and down to earth as anyone you'll meet.

the 08 stock is a dog only bc of all the emissions. Eliminate the pair valves right away, get a air filter and on this bike you have to go full system exhaust mainly bc the headers are so restrictive. So if i where you get the KIT ECU if you can get a deal their about 350 with the harness and find a slip on thats in your budget and you will love it!!
