2004 question
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
just getting my motor back in my 04 i have every thing hooked except the stator to the rectifier (harness never came back with the engine)
and this single black wire with white clip.
the black wire with white clip is the female clip and the wire runs along the main harness and comes away from it just before the main plug that goes to the bottom right of the throttle bodies.
does anyone know off hand what this goes to??? is this why the bike wont start???
ive looked and looked and cant find it. im getting no FI code
thanks in advance, any help at all is appreciated

Well sorry for you, it's rare that a head gasket blown the problem should come, from something else. When you put the motor apart make the hea check to be sure it's straight. in the same time be sure the block are straight. If by lack of luck the head not straight it could be surfaced. But be sure that this made by a professional. Check what is the tickness of the racing gasket and substract it from the thickness of the stock one. You shouldn't surfaced the head or the block more then this factor, un less you put two head gasket.
But let be optimistic, and tell everything it's O.K.
Be sure when you will torque the head bolts to follow up the way expalin in the service manual.
Good luck.
