Radiator problems

My 06 ZX10R is spitting out coolant through the over flow valve connected to the coolant resevoir. It only does it when I let the bike sit idle for a while and heat up to 225 then turn it off. When I turn the bike off I can hear and see the resevoir over fill and bubble up then it spits out the coolant through the over flow! I'm thinking it might be the thermastat but not sure. I've tried everything else to get air out of the system but it hasn't changed anything. Anybody else had this problem?

This could be that the system isn't pressurizing properly. Without the proper pressure the coolant will boil at a much lower temp. I would just replace the thermostat and have the system checked for pressure. There really isn't much else you can do aside from making sure the water pump is working properly.
