Akro bolt on cans V.S. Muzzy Moto GP Exhaust
I have a 06 ZX10R with the Power Commander and K&N. I installed the Akropovic bolt on carbon fiber cans within the first week of getting the bike. The bike runs great, (except for the heating up, see other thread), and sounds good to. It definitely does not sound or look stock, but is not to obnoxiously loud. Problem is whenever i ridei smell like exhaust, not hte best when you ride to work as middle management.
I started looking for Moto GP style systems for three reasons, 1) lower the central mass of the bike furhter, 2) get away from the exhaust smell, and 3) they look really nice.
i am wondering if anyone know how they compare. Sound, performance, weight, bang for the buck, etc. The Muzzy piece (not the M10) looks really nice, but I am wondering how loud it will be on the street. I also know it is a stainless system with Ti silencer, compared to the stock Ti plumbing and carbon fiber/ Ti system i now have.
If i do go for the Muzzy system I have been told it is about $1375, and I will have a set of very nice Akro bolt ons for sale.
