Me'n HDL 4/13/08, ASMA

Jim's leading, but this is before the last restart of the Formula race (ULGP). I'm hunting for a way by him, and not finding it in this series of laps.

Photo by Ed Jones, High Desert Racing Photography. Yes, I bought the pic.

Mr Bryant, Sir,

I don't know if Jim is going Team Green next year, but I'll (hopefully) be doing it (we'll both be forced into white plates after this season).

If that comes together, and I run UL classes with an '09 10R, I'm sure we would run our works AP pipes proudly.

"Your" one-off works prototype is still working just fine.... on my bike. If it ever comes off, or I make another one, it's got your name on it.

Hard to follow the number plate color thing.... In my day, it was simply getting a "national number" which mean't a two digit number, which mean't you were "somebody". As Pro's (AMA) we all basically ran the same number plates. It was the same when we ran an FIM (World Championship) race.

Anyway, when you guys run the unlimited's in '09, let me know. We'll cook something up special for you.

I think in 09 that I am going to go to the 600's, as it opens up more classes to me. If I do that then one of the big bikes will have to go, either my 04 ZX10 or my 01 ZX12....Kelly will never let me have 3 bikes.....lol

That would be a very hard decision to make, as I love both these bikes alot.....

Kerry with the ASMA orginization, Yellow plates are run by amatures, and white plates are experts.....I would guess that Dave is right and this will be our last year as amatures.....time will tell....

Ouch. Looking a little rashed up there. No offense to my buds at the house of "J", but why don't you send the set-up to me and I'll build you a fresh system with an "improved" muffler... We'll start the "sponsership" there.

HDL. September is three months away. Ten pounds a month, Jim. Ten pounds is 1-2/3 horsepower.

For the rest of the world, you all should know I'm leading the points for ULSB by ONE FREAKING POINT, with THREE races left. Whichever one of us beats the other two of those three times is the ULSB champion - no one else can win as long as we both show up to race.

its gonna be good racing Dave, I am very much looking forward to it....imagine if I hadnt crashed that race in April......lol

Truth be told, I dont care which one of us wins it, I thoroughly enjoy racing with you and Adam and Rob....and the few others that stick their nose in it once in a while. You guys are what has made this series what it is. And thats what has made it fun for me. I already know this will be my only year with ASMA as I will be moving back east when I retire. Thats one of the reasons I pushed myself into racing this entire year, I knew it was going to be my only oppritunity to do it.

Dave I will wish you good luck in winning the ULSB....but I am not gonna give it to ya......lol

I wouldn't have it any other way, and if I finish second to you, I won't be complaining.

I don't know what next year is bringing for me, racing-wise, either.

Retire. What an interesting word... I think I get to do that when I'm 72.
