axle06 on a 04
will a 06 10 axel fit o4 forks dose the nut work off of th 04 or do you need to change them both if they will fit

if no one here has tried to swap them, maybe you could find out from your local Kawi parts man according to part numbers or such

No you can't. The rear you can though. I ended up buying the internal parts for the '06-'07 and bored the bearing housing of the '05 to except the parts. But you need to know about machining, bearing preload tolerance, and press fitting. It's not as easy as just boring a hole.
