wheelie question...
quick question before i bring it to a shop... whenever i do a sit down wheelie on my 05 zx10, it goes right hardcore. Sometimes it will go straight as an arrow...most of the time it goes right. Ive checked the markings at the end of the swingarm, and they line up on each side of the swing arm. So thats not out of alignment. Also, even on a brand new tire, with the correct psi, my stand up seems to get wobbly around 70-80. Even when i dont move, maybe just a little to adjust to the wind.. but i get a fairly bad wobble. Anyone have any ideas? thanks!!

Once the front is airborne wheel alignment does not matter... it is your balance of the machine.
Are you right handed? People tend to favor their dominate side, it is stronger.....
Try shifting your weight in the seat to the left a little before you pull up the front wheel..
If done correctly you can wheelie around corners, by shifting your weight..
Carefull I taught myself on a XR 600 before doing one on the street, mistakes on the street ARE painfull..

its definately your balance of the bike....I do the same thing when I sit down and do wheelies....I always look to the left of the bike to see where I am going, and that pushes the bike ot the right as you try to counter balance your looking around the bike, or atleast its true for me....

ah...that sounds like it. the only thing that concerns me is...on my buddies 05 r1...i do the same thing, sit down wise, and it doesnt go right for me...just straight. so i wasnt sure if it was balance or not... thought perhaps it was something mechanical. like perhaps the back wheel wasnt aligned properly? or slightly off balance. We had thought that it was just me, until i did a sit down on my buddies R1...and it just goes straight as an arrow.

Might be rear wheel alignment.
Many of the alignment marks on the swingarms are not absolutely aligned.

no, never been crashed. the lines seem to line up but who knows. its gone to the right since i bought the bike, during a sit down. Stand ups are fine like i said, but i get a wobble that i never get on my friends R1. if it wouldnt go right, i could do a sit down forever on that thing, its a damn wheelie machine (then again, what bike isnt..).

It is the crown in the road shape to keep water from puddling on the road it is crowned this will cause your bike to run more to the right when wheelie is done...if the road was flat it will go straight..most new roads are designed that way..
