help!!!!!06' 10r cannot rev past 9000 rpm

i dont know why, but it seems everyone in this world cant believe this brand new bike of mine is doing what its doing. my zx10 has only 4500 miles on it, just went out of warranty a month and a half ago, and will not rev past 9000 rpm exactly. ive talked to three factory techs, two private mechanics, and everyone i know that rides in my area. i believe its some kind of exhaust valve or dual stage fi problem. noone seems to agree with that because the bike is so new, and there is no blinking fi light. i dont want to put any more money into this brand new bike, and all the advice ive gotten is to give it back to the shop.i need help with this boys, or im about to get rid of this p.o.s in any fashion it takes, and i dont really want to do that. all i can think off right now is man i shoulda bought that honda, i shoulda bought the honda.

Give us more data:
Does it go past 9000 rpm in neutral?
If YES, in which gear will not go past 9000 rpm?
Have you take a look to the air filter? If you ride in a dusty area, it may be COMPLETELY clogged after 4500 miles on it.

Wait for your answer.

im not taking it to a dealership.i refuse to put money into this bike, but the bike does it in every gear. first thru sixth, and it will rev past 9 in neutral, u guys really think that my air filter is clogged that soon?? i mean im willing to take any suggestions but ive been riding bikes in this area (maryland)for the last ten years and never had a problem with any of my air filters, but all my other bikes have been nice red hondas that you could 't kill if you tried.

Guess you'll need to sign up for a course at MMI or swallow that pride and pay a mechanic!

Bikes that have this kind of air induction system at the nose front, like the 10R, or many other bikes (R1, GSXR, etc) aspires much more dust than bikes that have the engine air inlet more hidden.

That´s why the air filter element might be clogged almost at all after 4000-5000 miles. Just check it. It only takes 15 min.

I have seen this before, bike not reving past a certain RPM, no FI lamp on the dash, clean air filter, good gas, good spark, good exhaust. Throttle boddies have a sensor mounted to them that cannot be replaced as a individual part. If it has come out of adjustment you will need to replace the set of four. Take it to a dealer and find out if this is the case. I hope this sheds some light on your problem
