It is in the owners manual...or is it the shop manual?

for a 2004 you hold both buttons on your instrument panel down while the bike is running I believe; and then you can control the set point.. it goes up and down as you press one of the buttons....but first press both .. I think that is correct or very close.. try it...once you have the set point desired you press both again to reset back to normal...

Thats what I remember anyways...

your rpm indication has some error.. I believe 13,000 rpm is more like 12,000.. found that out at a dyno session with my 2004 ZX-10R..

hold both buttons in untill the tach reads the shift point, then release. then use the bottom button to set the shift point up when it reaches 12500 it will start back down i think 9500 is the lowest setting then will start back up. when you have it where you want it go to the top button and set the briteness of the light, dim, medium, brite,or off. then press both buttons again to set. I always choose brite but as you are doing that hold down on the last selection of briteness then add the lower button down so both buttons are selected at once, otherwise your shift point will scroll to the next mark when you select both buttons to set.
