Help with clutch problem please.

Had a nasty highside at Mid-Ohio this week. Amungst the other significant damage to my 05' 10R, the clutch isn't working. There is no "damage" to either the cables or the clutch cover, it didn't hit there, but.. the bike fires up fine in neutral but when I pull the clutch in and drop it in 1st it automatically engages. Pulling the lever does nothing. Any ideas what could causet this? I am puling the clutch cover off tormorrow to take a look but I need help knowing what I should be looking for.

Thanks for any help you might offer.
Chris

you probably damaged the puller shaft or the puller. so it is not pulling the clutch apart correctly...
glad you are ok!
anybody get any video???

You got to open the clutch cover and see if the puller or the shaft in the middle are broken, or the plates got something. You maybe have to replace some parts, but it's not that bad.

When my bike was having this problem i went to the shop and they said my clutch was kinda at a angle from an impact i guess... best bet was a new clutch in my case, i went all out and got celvar and the works.. ran me about $350 but work it in my mind. i think if you drag race alot and slip the clutch on take off the same thing results.
