Buy as much life insurance as you can and save any sick time you may have at work.

Do what you want but you have no business being on that bike at 22 and the first one.I hope you never have a problem and maybe won't,but the odds are certainly stacked against you.

It's just the paint.

Hopefully you have ridden dirt bikes? You must understand that guys in your age and experience bracket are the reason why insurance is so expensive. Chances are you will try to do too much too soon and wreck, hurting the bike and hopefully not yourself.

Take it slow, invest in good gear, and imagine that you are invisible on the road. Someone will pull out in front of you at least once a week, prepare for it.

Sorry if we sound like old geezers, but it's just a plain fact, and you are no different than the thousands of disabled young men who bought a new crotch rocket they didn't know how to ride and hurt themselves.

good luck,
Dean

My apologies for biting your head off. I feel better knowing you've ridden dirt bikes and a 600.Hypocritical of me as I started on a CB750 in the summer of 77.Couldn,t even ride it out of the parking lot.Hope you enjoy the great bike and listen to your conscious.Took me six months before I slid it under a parked car.
