Measured top speed on a 2006 ?
On my previous bike, ZX10R 2004, I've been measured at 293 km/h.
Just want to know if I could got even on a 2006 like the one I've just buyed.
Other things, on the 2004 the bike will indicate 299 km/h from the 5th and the same thru the 6th. The bike continued to accelerate to meassured 293 km/h.
Do the 2006-7 model continue to accelarate or been bloked at indicated 299.
Thanks.

What are you doing on this site if you DO NOT have a ZX-10R ?
Then ... answer the question...
What is your top speed on your 2006-7 ZX-10R.
Thank you

i have a 06' zx-10r my speedo reads 189 mph at top speed due to the timing retarding speed limiter. i used my gps to ascertain top of 5th gear is 171 mph and 6th was only 174mph due to speed limiter. this bike will see a tre soon for a true top speed reading gps certified.

most of you guys need to get a clue...the top speed on the Cluster is regulated by the electronics of the cluster itself. The true top speed on all 10s is max 189mph stock and most likely 186mph real if your lucky ........if you want TRUE SPeed then get a speedohealer and GPS to test/adjust ..other than that chill out because your Top Speed means nothing without the right tools ..hint hint

The ZX-10R is not "speed limited" it does not produce sufficient power to overcome it's aeros and gearing to exceed the 300 kmph "gentlemans agreement" in stock form.

hmmmmm. i have to disagree. top of 5th on my gps is 171mph by the gps. 6 th pulls for about 3 sec. then falls flat....3,000 rpms left, gps reads 174mph in 6th after she falls flat. i don't think power to overcome is the issue. i live in the states and my '10' is an 06'. again 189mph on the odometer is only 174mph on the gps.she can and will go faster with the tre and i will film it to settle the score for once and all. i do not think this bike will do more than 190mph at the top of 6th. but i've been riding for the greater of 20 years and there is a restriction in 6th gear.
