top speed in 1st gear for 2004/05 ZX10?
got into a bit of a 'discussion' with someone over the fact i said my 2004 ZX10R could do 0ver 100mph in first gear alone..
basically he was trying to tell me how fast his car is...
so i thought i'd bring out a few stats on the ZX... you know...tell him what real acceleration was like...
so among other tidbits i told him first gear alone was good for over 100mph (heard it was 104)
anyone on here proven it? this just KHI bullshitting?
GPS'd?
ive ridden it to near redline in first... but in that gear and at that throttle opening you aint looking at hte speedo for sure... plus i dont want to do any damage when you have a nice big wave of torque to use...
so... anyone clarify this?

It is a fact:
2004 -05 ZX-10R does a tad over 100 mph in first ; mine did... They all do stock from the factory... but you will accelerate to 100 mph quicker (assuming you have wheelie problem under control) if you gear down and shorten first gear...thats what I do for dragracing anyhow...
With a stabilizer installed you should be able to look and see at 100 mph in first gear or any speed ; no problem.....a speedo healer can give you fairly accurate readings to bank on...
