ZX10 VS ZX14

I'm sure this question has come up before... I'm looking at replacing my stolen 2004 zx10r with something new.

I'm leaning towards a 2006 zx10, but the zx 14 isn't that much more money. How does the 14's handling compare to the zx10's? I'll mostly do town riding and weekend trips. I also am going to be carrying "baggage" on the back (the wife to be)

She's used to the 10r , so comfort isn't a big issue..

No bike does it all. The 14 is a bigger bike and does show its size in the tight corners compared to a 10 and much more than a 600.
That being said.. It is the best bike i have ever owned.
Fast.. nuff said.
Handling... Good, not as good as a 10 in the tight stuff, wth the right rider it will keep up in the sweepers no problem.
Brakes.. Some 10 riders are mounting 14 brakes in their rides, The 14s are very good
Sport Tourer.. High marks, Two up no issue, I have done 500 - 600 mi days no problem, I could have done more. But.. My record is a 1,750 day from Nashville to Phoenix in 30 hours straight, NOT on the 14.

Sounds like the 14 for you. I think your girl will appreciate it also.

Tool man, 30 hours straight? Elaborate, do you mean no sleep? Wow! What kind of bike was it? I couldn't even imagine doing it in a car.

96' Harley Road King, Yup.. no lie & NO sleep
Backed myself into a corner on time, I went to Laconia NH in 2001. Told my Boss I would be back the following Mon. I woke up Sat morning in Nashville and had to do the math,
I told my buddys I was ride'in home in one day, you can imagine what they said, So.. I said C,ya. at 6am Sat.
I made it home to Phoenix 10am on Sun.And slept till Mon morning. Worked out to 30 hrs and 1750 mi. I never really went that fast maybe 70 mph tops. I kept rest and gas stops short, seems kinda crazy but it was not that bad. Long distance ride'in is a test, Of ones ability to absorb pain thru their ASS :P
