I like it myself; purple bling looks cool as well I think. Hopfully not badly detuned from ZX-10R power we all enjoy..begining to look like a Galactic praying mantis of sorts..lol ..

I can attest, a bike that short, with the zx14 brakes WILL be obsurd.
I can stand my 14 on the front tire at 100 mph with the front brake!
and more bottom and mid than the zx10.... wheelleeeeeeeeee!

Nice lookin bike too!
Hopefully they don't nueter the zx10 power!

definately dump the exhaust, otherwise a nice bike.
Almost bought an '03 till i found out they were being whipped by 750's.
Why do they feel the need to detune a perfect engine..... everytime?

Give us a true hooligan , unadultered, full HP naked.
Then there would be another Kawi in my garage!

I think you will find that this bike is sticking with modded old ZX9 engine and not the latest 10. Thye have dumped the fake cooling fins on the original and covered them for aesthetic puroses only. powere will remain roughly where it is now and quite frankly its not enough. I had an 03 model and switched to 06 10 because i wanted more power and the UK press release confirmed the 07 z1000 wasnt getting a new engine there was no point in waiting for it to be launched.

Been doing a bit more digging o this post and there are deffinitely two camps appearing. Strange when everyone went ot the same dealer launch in the US but one camp insists on a Zx10 engine but detuned and the other on a ZX9 engine reworked?

Maybe we will just have to wait a little longer to find out exactly what kawasaki are doing as i for one just love Naked bikes, so much more comfortable and almost as fast.
I only got rid of my last z1000 because i was sick of getting wasted on tyhe straights at the track after i had just ridden around all those GITS who cant ride during the corners !
If it is launched with a full or near full power zx10 engine then i guess i will be back at the dealers next spring !

Wasn't the ZX10 a bored out ZX9 motor to begin with?

Been looking at the engine cases a lot nd i am now convinced this is the same engine as before but with reworked cases for aesthetic rfeasons. So i dont believe this bike is gonna give you any more power than the last years model. Too many similarities to the old bike to be a new reworked ZX10 motor.

Very disappointed.
