Maiden Voyage on the 10R

I just got home from a brief 75 mile ride on the 10R. No need to type much about it, but I will make one small, very factual, statement. That is one bad little biatch.

PLENTY more to follow, I just don't know exactly what to say really.

No Rick, quite the contrary. No disrespect to Lil' Red as that bike will forever be close to my heart. No need to elaborate on that. When I can accurately describe the feeling that 10R gave me today I'll post it up. Right now I am just beside myself at how much the 10R impressed me. It exceeded every expectation I had of it in spades. It quite literally is a ride I'll never forget. A brief 75 mile ride on that bike spoke volumes.

My smile has yet to fade, and it probably won't anytime soon. I dig it, and put all the emphasis on that you want. It's the shiznit, the straight butter, all that and a bag of chips, the bomb.

Glad you like it Rick. I think the 10 would kill my back. I would like to have one though. I chose to buy a busa and put a turbo on it over a 10r.

It is an amazing bike. As much as I loved my12, the 10 is a different animal, stunning in every respect.

In all my years of riding, I've never gotten the buzz I got today. That little 10R is a stunner that is sure to please. Wheelies like it was designed for just that. Handling , well what can you say. It gives you room to grow as a rider for sure. All the sensations you want from a bike and more. It kicks ass,

You know what Rick,....I do like it better. For the type of riding I enjoy the most, the 10R is a shinning star. The crazy thing is, the things that I figured the 10R would fall short on,..it actually didn't.

Low end grunt, do I miss it??? Simply put NO, I'm not running the tractor pull circuit and if the 10R had more grunt it'd be even a bigger handful than it is now. Pleasingly powerful down low, hooligan's wet dream at anything over 8k. I had a 16t front on the way, before the bike even got here. After putting that CF Yosh on there, which helped it for sure, I am now in no hurry to regear it. You can ride really nice first gear wheelies on it because it is so long-legged. But the second gear clutch wheelies are where it is at. I rode one nice one in 3rd, but when it set the thing down it shook its' head really bad and spooked me just a little. The scotts will be here Wednesday, and I think I'll let her set until that thing is fitted.

Ergonomics, a rack compared to the 12R right??? Not if you're me, it's an all business arrangement that is as humane as a bike like this could be. In the long line of shockers you'd think this is the biggest one, and though it ranks up there, it is not the thing that shocked me the most about the bike.

The biggest shocker is ....................... I can't really put a label on the biggest shocker. Is it the rediculous insane wail of the thing at full song??? The fact that it really is comfortable? Is it that the motor didn't leave me wishing for more power? Is it that I really felt having a bike as focused as this would have me bitching about the shortcomings it must surely have, only to have all those thoughts vanish about 5 minutes into the ride??? Fuck if I know what to say really. The thing rips, and I am a happy camper.

I love it, and I think all my neighbors, and about 10 Harley riders despise it. To all that said I'd love this bike, you were right on target. It's a thrill-ride without the long line.

I knew you and it would be a fit. You won't miss a thing about the 12 except the looks. The 12 is still the sexiest bitch ever on two wheels.

Opinions vary....................BUT with Blitz still having his A1 in the garage it will be a push to get him to go that way. But he may surprise me.
